Abstract:
Bowen proposes a conceptual model to examine the outcomes associated with employer-supported family benefits for employees and their families. This model is comprised of four primary sets of factors: (1) corporate culture and philosophy; (2) work environment (i.e., structure and dynamics); (3) employees' perceptions and circumstances (personal significance and need and expectations and beliefs); and (4) outcomes (i.e., outcomes at home and outcomes at work).
