The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, along with other policy initiatives, have attempted to improve employment opportunities for qualified people with disabilities. Individuals with psychological and physical disabilities represent the single largest minority group seeking employment today. As the demand for skilled labor and a desire for a diverse workforce have increased, there has been a recent growing awareness and developing interest in the disparities individuals with disabilities face at work.
