Bakst, Dina

Dina Bakst is Co-President and Co-Founder of A Better Balance: The Work & Family Legal Center, a legal advocacy organization based in New York City. 

A Better Balance engages the government, the private sector, and individuals to create family-friendly law and policy. A Better Balance is committed to valuing the full range of caregiving from childcare to eldercare, and to addressing work/family issues as they affect families across the economic spectrum. Prior to co-founding A Better Balance, Ms. Bakst was an attorney with the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund (now Legal Momentum) where she engaged in litigation and conducted public policy advocacy in the areas of economic justice, child care and reproductive rights. She also worked as an employment attorney with Kaye, Scholer LLP in New York City. Ms. Bakst is a graduate of the University of Michigan and University of Michigan Law School.
